Overview of game rules for

2024-2025 MBL Pre-Season Jamborees

1. Rules of play will be standard NHIAA Basketball rules with the following exceptions.

2. Game Duration – Game time will be 12 min running clock. The clock will only be stopped in

the instance of player injury or coach time out. All normal situations in which the game

officials would signal the scoring table to stop the clock will not happen during these

games.

3. Time Outs – Each coach will be allowed the use of one 30 second time out during the

game. Score table will sound horn after 15 seconds then again at 30 seconds. Speed

of play is a key to keeping the games on schedule so please do not extend the time out

beyond the 2nd horn.

4. Fouls – No foul shots will be taking during game time. When a shooting foul is called, the ball will

be taking out under the basket that they are shooting at. A player will foul out after 3 fouls.

5. Playing Time – as much as possible per game, equal playing/sitting time for all players is encouraged.

6. No pressing at the 3/4 Level, all defense is after half court.
